abstract = "{The article examines philosopher Charles S. Peirce's definition of continuity in the "Century Dictionary" as it was reprinted in the "Collected Papers." The definition of perfect sets that Peirce had attributed to Georg Cantor is different and inconsistent with other statements Peirce makes in his own dictionary entry. According to the article, the inconsistency is gone upon reverting to Peirce's original "Century Dictionary" but the "Collected Papers" version includes a revision which Peirce had marked and then canceled in his copy of the dictionary. How Peirce's disregard of the divergence from Cantor's definition of perfect sets is linked between his standpoint and Cantor's is discussed.}",
