New American Philosophy book series launched
Description:

Studies in American Philosophy, Pickering & Chatto
Editors: Willem deVries (University of New Hampshire) and Henry Jackman (York University).

This recently launched series seeks to foster a conception of American Philosophy that celebrates the diversity of American thought without confining it to any doctrine, school, or methodology. “American” philosophy is defined broadly, including Canadians, immigrants, and native Anglo- or Franco-phone North Americans. The series is dedicated to monographs and essay collections that examine all aspects of America’s distinctive philosophical tradition from the 17th Century onwards, and from all theoretical perspectives. Attention to the historical development and social context of the philosophers and philosophies is encouraged.

To discuss a project or research idea, please email Commissioning Assistant Sophie Rudland (srudland [at] pickeringchatto.co.uk) or one of the Series Editors.
