19th International Meeting on Pragmatism
The Center for Pragmatism Studies (CPS) of PUC-SP, is now calling for submissions of abstracts for the 19th International Meeting on Pragmatism, to be held at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, SP, Brazil, November 4-7, 2019.
The International Meetings on Pragmatism have been regarded over the years as one of the most important international references for research, debates and dissemination of papers on the philosophical school known as Pragmatism, within which special emphasis is given to Classical Pragmatism that emerged in the United States in the 19th Century, but without losing sight of contemporary approaches. The Meetings have also fostered a prolific dialogue with the History of Philosophy in the fields of metaphysics, epistemology, logic, philosophy of language and semiotics, ethics and aesthetics.
The 19th International Meeting on Pragmatism will host lectures given by world-renowned researchers. The communications sessions will consist in papers previously selected by the scientific committee of the event. In a strict sense, the event is directed towards philosophy professors and graduate students in philosophy; in a wider sense, towards professors and graduate students in related fields, as well as undergraduate students of philosophy and humanities.
Further details of the conference will be published soon on the CPS website.
